The  Artist

Hi! I'm Lexi. 

I have been a professional makeup artist for over 15 years. It's been quite a journey from then to now, and I'm grateful to work in an industry I love. 

From a very young age, I was drawn to the arts. Growing up in a home that nurtured my creativity, I was fortunate to study dance, acting, and other related skills in production & entertainment. Years later, I decided to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Theatre at Towson University, which gave me the opportunity to study stage and Special FX makeup under the direction of Steve Bauer & Marianne Wittelsberger of Jokesters.org. 

Upon graduation, I spent several years working for MAC cosmetics, becoming a certified artist as well as a product specialist. During that time, I realized my true passion in makeup was in its application; rather than sales. So, I began building my own business as a freelance artist, obtaining airbrush makeup certification from Kett Cosmetics in 2010; ultimately launching my company, L.M. Artistry, in 2015. Later that year, I also gained representation through T.H.E. Artist Agency and have been one of their featured stylists ever since.

Over the course of my career in makeup, I have had the privilege to work alongside some of the most talented and dynamic professionals in the industry. These experiences helped me to become well-versed in all genres of makeup application including Fashion, Editorial, Bridal, Television, Film, and Theatre, including Special FX and Prosthetics. In addition to my work in makeup, I regularly work in other areas of the production industry including hair and wardrobe.
